Title:
Streatham Redevelopment
Date:
01 - 02 - 2008
Tesco has been given the go-ahead for a £100m redevelopment of one of London’s oldest ice rinks.
The supermarket plans to replace Streatham ice rink, SW16, with a 65,000 sq.ft store and 250 flats – 13 of which will be for its own employees.
It was held up in 2003 by London mayor Ken Livingstone, who wanted assurances from Tesco that it would fund a leisure centre at the site.
GL Hearn advised on Planning.
